About the Finca
About Us
Welcome to our beautiful finca in Mallorca, which we designed with a love for nature and the island.
We are Jens and Saskia from Germany, we are blessed with 3 kids, so we are a family of 5. We love to travel and get to know different cultures, but we are also very much into looking for special real estate.
We have been to Mallorca several times and loved its tradition villages and houses, beautiful beaches and nature. After a search of 2 years we found Son Serra, which was not in a perfect condition, but we knew immediately that it had great potential. That’s where we started our Mallorca adventure.
History of the Finca
The nucleus of the finca is a few hundred years old, it has since then been extended serval times by the previous owners which makes it a very generous finca.
We signed the pre-contract in October 2019, Covid then made us wait till June 2020 when we were able to sign the final contract. Since then, we have spent a lot of time at the finca, making some renovations, emptying the overgrown garden and planning the Mediterranean planting, searching for materials, furniture and decorations. We did all the planning and sourcing for the inside by ourselves, which now makes us feel very proud of the result.
For the garden, we had the help of Filippo Dimatteo as our garden designer, who did an incredible good job. Finca Son Serra is our own paradise which we created with a lot of love for the Mallorcan heritage and we enjoy spending time here as a family.
